After 6 years of exile in Senegal, Amadou Toumany Toure returns to Mali this Sunday

Economic and Social Development Party Officials, close to the former head of state, said that ATT’s return was endorsed by current President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita.

It will be the end of the exile of the former Malian president in Senegal where he was forced to surrender after the coup d’état that drove him out of power on March 22nd, 2012.

Several sources close to the government confirm the return of former president Amadou Toumani Toure from his exile in Dakar, Senegal, even if the executive and the presidency remain rather discreet on the subject.

ATT is expected to arrive in Bamako on Sunday at midday according to his relatives.
